WPA2/Enterprise does it require RADIUS server

Fortinet support is indicating: For WPA2 Enterprise you needs to use Radius server; LDAP user group can not be used. Just wanted to get confirmation from this VPN forum that is indeed the case. We are setting up a wireless SSID (we' ll have hidden). When our Windows 7 Pro clients connect to this SSID, They will receive a login screen to enter their Windows AD credentials and be authenticated on our office network. We currently use LDAP authentication for our remote (out of office) users to authenticate with our AD Server and this seems to work well. Don' t want/need to setup a Radius server unless absolutely have to. Can anyone confirm that WPA2/Enterprise indeed requires a RADIUS server? TIA
