WAD process restart impact

Hi Team,

Does restarting the WAD process have any impact on the network?

Thank you!

In FortiOS wad process is basically used for proxy based inspection. So,  in certain scenarios of high cpu/memory consumption by wad or where wad is crashing repeatedly,  you may need to restart the  process as a workaround. Restarting wad  may interrupt the inspection. We most recommend to restart the process during quiet hours example during midnight
