VPN not Working on IOS

On a setup that I have is configured to an SSL tunnel vpn for some of the company internal apps. The website and apps can be accessed via various devices once forticlient configured. Lately on iOS the vpn configured and connection is established but the apps are not accessible via any browser safari or chrome. But on android the same configuration but apps accessible. Can help with any insights to make it workon ios.

• What was the last changes before the issue?
• Did you perform lately any update of either FCT of iOS?
• Can you try access the apps via IP address instead of Hostname/FQDN? (to exclude DNS issue)
• Did you check on the remote FGT (with diag sniffer) if the iOS traffic is reaching the FGT and if it is being blocked?
• Can you try with iOS from the same WiFi as the one used for Android?
• Can you try disable IPv6 on the iOS or on the WiFi and try again?
• Can you try with other FCT VPN versions?

As a test, try exempting traffic from deep inspection in FortiGate if DNS works fine. 

Also, under security events verify if any logs are generated to isolate certificate related issues.
