I have a FortiGate 40F firewall and a 48-port Unifi switch. I am using different vlans to manage Wi-FI for our customers, Wi-Fi for our staff, Local LAN, CCTV and IP Phone on the same switch. I am facing voice breaking issue on my IP Phones. I want to implement VOICE QOS so that my IP Telephones gets high priority and get clear voice without any break. Can anybody guide me on this how can I create VOICE QOS. I have created a QOS with minimum bandwidth of 20MB and maximum of 100Mbps but that is not helping.

To implement Voice QoS for your IP phones on the FortiGate 40F firewall and UniFi switch, follow these steps:
1. Create an LLDP Profile and Network Policy on FortiGate:
- Configure LLDP profile with appropriate settings for voice traffic.
- Set VLAN and prioritize voice traffic with CoS and DSCP values.
2. Configure Layer-3 QoS DSCP Mapping:
- Map voice traffic with DSCP 46 to queue-5 for high priority.
3. Configure Layer-2 QoS 802.1p Mapping:
- Map voice traffic with CoS 5 to queue-5 for high priority.
4. Configure Egress QoS Policy:
- Set up a strict priority queue for voice traffic with minimum and maximum bandwidth allocation.
5. Verify and Apply QoS Settings:
- Check the QoS settings to ensure they are correctly applied and impacting the traffic flow.
Following these steps, you can prioritize voice traffic for your IP phones, ensuring clear voice quality without interruptions. Further troubleshooting may be required to identify any other potential causes affecting voice quality if the issue persists.
