VM Flash Disk
Hi all,
I am trying to upgrade my Fortimanager VM to 5.0.7 to be able to support FGv5.2
I get an error message telling me to expand the flash drive to 512MB. The install instructions also tell me to expand it, but nowhere can I find out how to do the expansion. Any suggestions?
TIA,
Patrick

Hi,
you need to increase the disk size on the VM host (ESX or Hyper-V).
So shut down the VM, increase the size on your host, and boot it back up. Now you should be able upload the image.
Kind regards,
Oliver

ORIGINAL: Patrickh99 Thanks Oliver, That fixed the issue and I am now running v5.0.7 PatrickGlad that fixed your issue! When it' s time for the next upgrade, its best practice to review the release notes thoroughly. For posterity I will link them here for anyone else that wants to read through them, but it does address the need to increase the HDD partitioning. I will see if we can provide additional details around that statement to point people in the right direction, without supporting the VM host :) You may also consider doing a snapshot so you can easily return to the previous known good working state. Our goal is for every installation to have a smooth upgrade. http://docs.fortinet.com/uploaded/files/1998/fortimanager-v5.0.7-release-notes.pdf Cheers!
