Upload Licenses offline
Hello
I have a new FGT 80F
It does not have internet so it cannot get the lics automatically
In the Fortiguard menu I do not see any option to upload the lic file.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks and regards,
Konstantinos

Hi FortiFWuser,
you must have it on the Internet unless you have a FortiManger setup.

Hi fortiFWuser,
Thank you for posting to the Fortinet Community Forum.
You need to have the internet access because your FGT should have connectivity with the FortiGuard server for license update.
For AV,IPS you can directly upload the database by downloading it from support portal.
For registration webfilter, antispam you need to have real time internet access.
Another option is you can use Fortimanager as your Fortiguard server and there should be connectivity between FortiGate and Fortimanager.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks

Fortigate license only can be validate this 2 ways:
1. Validate by Fortiguard server - requires internet
2. Validate by Fortimanager - For offline solution
For 1st time, i would suggest to go for options 1 so fortigate can download latest signature to make Fortigate works efficiently.
