Upgrading firmware 4.3.8 to 5

Have anyone upgraded their FA from 4.3.8 to 5.0 & beyond? Will I still be able to keep the existing log? If yes, how long does the conversion of log usually takes? Can I just jump from 4.3.8 to 5.0.6?

Hi Please read Release Notes as the special PDF upgrade_instructions within the Firmware download directory. There you will find any instructions and limitations. PS: By the way I would never do this! I would do -specially if you use the VMware Based version - following: - Shutdown old FAZ (remove interface within VMware) - Settup new one with old IP from installation before - Bring all devices to new FAZ (shold be done if config is right automatically) - Have fun If you need the old logs for compliance start the old installtion without interface. configure a new ip. Stop -> add interface -> start und access old one. Take that what you need and shutdown again. After some time remove the old one completly. This is that what I would do...keep in mind that 4.X and 5.X are from architecture DB etc. completly different and from this point of view from me not visible to go with a upgrade. hope this helps have fun Andrea
