Upgrade Fortigate firewalls with fortimanager with free trial license

I have free trial license fortimanager and i want workaround to upgrade fortigate with it as when i try to upgrade give me error message (no valid FMWR license) so can anyone helps me?

Please confirm what is your FortiManager and FortiGate firmware version.

"no valid FMWR license error when upgrading managed FGTs".

You can try to apply a workaround:

Re-download FGT contracts from FDS server by running the following commands on the FMG:

# diagnose fmupdate del-device <FGT_SN>
# diagnose fmupdate service-restart fds
# diagnose fmupdate service-restart fwm

This issue is resolved in firmware version 7.2.7 or later.

hi Aman,

i have fortimanager VM and i don't have any license on it except free trial for 15 days and the fortigate doesn't have any license so the solution of the upgrade can work or not as when i try to apply the above commands it leads to the same error message (  no valid FMWR license ).

Kindly be noted that Fortimanager version is 7.0.10 and fortigate version is 6.4.6 and i create adom with 6.4 to connect the device to fortimanager
