Update the Web Filter database?

Recently, some members of my team showed me a lot of porn website that were not blocked by the FortiGate. So, I went to fortinet.com to have these url re-evaluated, but they where already classified as porn/adult material. So must mean that my database for the Web Filter is not up to date, how to I update it? Thanks a lot, Dominic Paquin

Are you sure that the Foritguard web filtering is enabled in the associated policy? Also make sure that Pornaography is blocked in that protection profile.

I have Fortigard services enabled, and am blocking pornography, and am unable to get there (brunob.com). Re-check your settings. Something seems off.

I know these sites have been banned " recently" like after Christmas. I used the url ont he fortinet website where you can enter a url and they tell you which category it' s in. And Brunob.com and some others weren' t banned at that point. Now they are and I thought my appliances would " update" its DB. It didn' t. This concerns very few websites, and I think I banned them all locally. But I thought the appliance updated itself?

Check under ' System -> Maintenance -> Fortiguard Center' and make sure you have a green check mark. Then expand down ' Web Filtering and AntiSpam Options' and test the availability. It should say ' (FortiGuard services are reachable via ports 53 and 8888.)' underneath if it can see the Fortiguard services. If it cannot, your DNS may be misconfigured. To force a re-read, uncheck ' [ ] Enable Web Filter' , click apply, then check ' Enable Web Filter' again, and click apply once again.

I tested the availabilty, when I click test availability, it just reload the same page without giving me any kind of confirmation.

I believe that means that it isn' t working correctly. It should tell you services are available on either port 53, port 8888 or both. At leaat after a screen refresh.
