Update forti 90D to forti 80F

Hi all,

Hope you can give me a hand with this.

I have a fortigate 90D. But untortunately I can not get renewal because is out of date.

So I purchased a fortigate 80F.

Here comes the question: can I export the configuration I had on the 90D to the new one (80F)?.

I downloaded a conf file.

Thanks and best regards,

Hey JuanM,

You can do that, however you will need to purchase a service called FortiConverter. You can reach out to your account manager at Fortinet in order to ask about this product. It is pretty simple to use.

You will just need the 90D config file, then you send it to support here: https://service.forticonverter.com/

Support will ask you what interfaces you want mapped from the old device to the new device. Such as WAN1 to WAN1 and so on.
