Hello,
currently i try to connect a FortiGate to FortiManager.
I added the IP-Adress of the FortiManager in the FortiGate and clicked on "Send Request".
In the CLI debug i can see the firewall calling home and successfully build a connection.
As the documentation says the firewall should appear in a tab named unregistered devices.
But there is no tab named unregistered devices...
Do i have to activate this tab anywhere?
I allready tryed to set the following commands on the cli of the FortiManager:
[style="background-color: #888888;"]config system admin setting[/style] [style="background-color: #888888;"] set allow_register enable[/style] [style="background-color: #888888;"] set unreg_dev_opt add_no_service[/style]
We do not want to add the Firewall through the FortiManager.
Anyone any ideas?
Best regards
Benjo
"[<font]set allow_register enable", and you enable this but did not config password, device may auto added into "Device Manager"
so change this CLI to disable, then you should see attached pic (refresh page if you stay in the same page when device coming in) a new tab in left tree in device manager
Thanks
Simon
Hi Simon,
thank you for your reply!
I've disabled the CLI by typing "unset register_passwd".
The device still is not visible in Device Manager.
In the log i can see the following entry:
2015-11-26 08:17:10 log_id=0022031003 type=event subtype=dvm pri=information user="unknown" msg="Device FGT92Dxxxxxxxxxxx add failed" device="FGT92Dxxxxxxxxxxx" dvm_adom="Default-Config"
Could you please provide your full admin settings of FortiManager? (get system admin setting)
Benjo
what is the FMG and FGT build#/version?
I've disabled the CLI by typing "unset register_passwd".
-- not to unset password, you need to either set for a password, or unset "allow_register" (disable it)
from log error, seems when FMG try to auto add device to DVM but failed, so may need to do more checks, can you provide "diag dvm device list" and "diag dvm adom list"?
"Default-Config" -- this is you created new ADOM?
Thanks
Simon
Hello,
sorry for my delayed anwser.
I figgured out why the Deploy was not working.
The ADOM "root" was not availible.
I don't know why, but creating this ADOM solved the problem.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards
Benjo
