Unable to see the newly created VDOM in FMG Device Manager/group

hi,

i just created a new VDOM in FMG and installed/pushed to a newly added FG but i can't see the new VDOM.

i only see the 2x VDOM that i initially created locally in FG before i onboard it to FMG.

tried to logout/login in FMG but still the same. i can see the new VDOM locally in FG.

is do i need to add/apply the FMG-VM-10-UG license in FMG to see the new VDOM?

Are you able to see the newly configure VDOM pushed from FMG when you locally access the FGT?

Let us know if this helps.

hi,

i saw this link/command while doing a google search.

is this a "safe" command and can be run anytime in FMG? or do i need to secure a change window for this?

i tried to do the reverse, i.e. created a new VDOM locally in FG device, it sync'd in FMG, can see the new VDOM under device > systems: virtual domain setting but NOT in the usual VDOM tree/hierarchy.

Hi @johnlloyd_13 ,

If your FMG is in production, always backup FMG config first and better to schedule a maintenance window.

BTW, do you have the new VDOM in the FGT configuration DB on FMG?

hi,

thanks! but that wasn't my question. is this command "safe" to run at anytime?

like i said, i can't see the new VDOM in a visual hierarchy tree in FMG.

i can only see the new VDOM if i select the device and go to system:virtual domain.

Hi @johnlloyd_13 ,

I don't think this command is not "safe".

It is trying to sync the VDOM info between two DBs.  So it is pretty safe.

Jerry
