Hello,
we have two firewalls. We started upgrading the first over automatic upgrade -> 7.0.17 to 7.2.11 to 7.4.8. This was fine. The second had to be updated manually -> 7.0.17 to 7.2.11 ok. Now the upgrade moved to System/Fabric Management. However there I can't choose a file for upgrade anymore. This is availalbe in 7.4.8 again but not in 7.2.11. How can this be solved?
Kind regards,
David

Hi David,
The greying out of the upgrade option could be triggered due to below reason discussed in the article, try canceling federated-upgrade using the steps shown in the article below and see if the upgrade option stops being greyed out.
If the above still does not work,
1) Collect diagnostic outputs using below which could shed some light on other possible triggers. https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Fortinet-Support-Tool-Google-Chrome-Extens...
2)As the last option, can consider using cli option to load the firmware and upgrade (assuming its a standalone unit and not HA, in which case we need to check if the units have to be upgraded individually):
Let us know if the issue gets resolved with the first suggestion mentioned above, thanks.

Hi @DavidMicheler,
Thanks for your infor. I tried the same upgrade method and model, the issue is not present on my test (refer the attached image) on both FireFox and Chrome.
Shall you share me the output of 2 below commands:
FortiGate-80F (global) # get system status -- delete the Serial Number and hostname before posting.
FortiGate-80F (global) # get hardware status
Regards,
Harry
Hello Harry,
I attached you the result of both commands.
Kind regards,
David
Hi @Toshi_Esumi
If version 7.4.x is not available for an older hardware model, check the FortiOS compatibility matrix to confirm if the model is supported. If not, consider upgrading the hardware or using a compatible version.
@adhawan, I wanted to ask @DavidMicheler the question @HarryTran asked when I saw this thread first time. For example FG100E is not supported by 7.4.x. 7.2 is the last major version although the hardware support continues one more year before EOS.
Toshi
Hello Toshi_Esumi,
the version7.4 is supported for FGT80F.

Hello Rudresh,
thanks for your help - the cancellation of the fabric upgrade did the trick.
