Hello Everyone.
I am getting this error message "unable to establish the vpn connection. the vpn server may be unreachable. (-14)" on my clients alot.
The strange part with this error message is that it goes to 80% and then it comes, I can say the user has internet and the password is correct, cause he can login to other systems with the same password that connects to our AD.

Dear max18,
Thank you for posting to the Fortinet Community Forum.
From your description I believe you are facing issue while connecting to SSL VPN.
Please find the article to know what reasons causes to break the connection at 80%
https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Troubleshooting-Tip-Possible-reasons-for-FortiClient-SSL...
Please note:-
If an individual has configured user group in the SSL VPN settings then always configured user group in the firewall policy and if user is configured in the SSL VPN settings then configured user in the firewall policy.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks
Hi Max,
-Are you using a free version of Forticlient ?
This error can also occur if you are using a free version of Forticlient (i.e non-fully licensed VPN client) and the SSL VPN config on the firewall has the "Host Check" enabled under ssl web portal
Thank you,
Hope.
