Unable to connect with FortiClient VPN on Dell Latitude 7350

Hi all,

To summarize, FortiClient does not work on Dell Latitude 7350, because of the Intel BE200 card.

I can't get the prompt for the token.

In the logs, I can see "no response from the peer".

It works on wired connection, and it works also with an external USB wifi adapter.

Apparently, FortiClient and the Intel BE200 card are incompatible. What can be done in this case?

Hi @btan,

Could you please provide the root cause or details of the fix?

Is it still planned to be resolved in the next FCT 7.2.6 release? What is the target release schedule?

We appreciate your support!

btan

Hello,
The fix is confirmed in FCT 7.2.6, ETA is 21-Nov-2024.

Regards,
Bon

Hello,

We had this exact same issue with our Dell Latitude 7450 and the Intel BE200 WiFi 7, conducting the same troubleshooting steps. We're running Windows 11 and Forticlient 7.0.13 on the rest of our devices.

We first attempted to update to the latest Intel driver 23.80.1.3, which was released beginning of October, but still had the same issue. We logged a ticket, and support provided us with an interim 7.2.6 build which allowed us to receive the OTP prompt, but ran into a bug that would wipe the password which prevented finishing the connection. We removed the dev build and installed Forticlient 7.2.5 and was able to connect successfully over IPSEC.

Hopefully this helps some others out there running into this issue. Thanks!
