Unable to connect to forticlient VPN on Mac OS
using mac Monterey, Forticlient 7.0.8
unable to connect to SSL VPN. after attempting to connect it comes back to the home screen without any errors.
tried reinstalling the app, after reinstalling there is no prompt in the security & privacy tab asking for permissions.
tried changing the name to IP address as well.
am able to connect using my mobile app to the same server but not on my mac.
what is the right way to get around this issue?

Was this working earlier? Can you run wireshark on the mac and collect the packets while the connection is attempted to see if there is any packets/communication with Fortigate.
Do you see anything on forticlient logs/debugs?

it was working fine earlier, it wouldn't connect nor give any error messages.
unfortunately, the older version is doing a better job now.

Hi,
To understand the issue better, can you provide me more information about the issue:
1) Are the windows user able to connect:
2) is this happening for all MAC users or only some:
3) have you tried a different version of FortiClient:
4) Are you trying to use IPsec or SSL:
5)Can you provide the output of the following commands when you are trying to connect to the SSL VPN from that machine:
diag vpn ssl debug filter src-addr4 x.x.x.x --- where x.x.x.x is the public IP of user machine.
diag debug application fnbamd -1
diag debug application sslvpn -1
diag debug en

Could you please confirm the Fortigate OS version?
Are you using free FortiClient or EMS licensed version?
Please attach the error screen shot.
