Unable to assign device disk quota

Hello All,

I am trying to assign disk quota to one of my Fortigates for FAZ running 5.4.2. Even though I have the required disk space for the particular ADOM, I get the following error:-

FAZVM64 # exe log device disk-quota FGT60D4614005220 12000 The input value is too large. Valid range is between 100 and 6142 (MB).

The following is my diag log device output:-

FAZVM64 # di log device Device Name Device ID Used Space(logs / quarantine / content / IPS) Allocated Space Used% FGT-A FGT60D4614005220 54.0MB( 48.6MB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 5.4MB) 4.9GB 1.1% FGT-B FGT60D4614007577 1.2MB( 1.2MB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 4.9GB 0.0% Total: 2 log devices, used=55.2MB quota=9.8GB AdomName AdomOID Type Logs Database                                 [Retention Quota UsedSpace(logs / quarantine / content / IPS) Used%] [Retention Quota Used Used%] FortiCarrier 104 FGT 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiMail 106 FML 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiAnalyzer 108 FAZ 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiWeb 110 FWB 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiCache 112 FCH 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiClient 114 FCT 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% Syslog 116 SYS 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiManager 118 FMG 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiSandbox 120 FSA 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% FortiDDoS 122 FDD 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% root 3 FGT 365days 7.3GB 53.6MB( 48.3MB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 5.4MB) 0.7% 60days 17.1GB 437.6MB 2.5% FortiAuthenticator 141 FAC 365days 300.0MB 0.0KB( 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 700.0MB 0.0KB 0.0% test-DOM 143 FGT 365days 7.3GB 1.2MB( 1.2MB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB/ 0.0KB) 0.0% 60days 17.1GB 3.7MB 0.0% Total usage: 13 ADOMs, logs=54.8MB database=489.6MB(ADOMs usage:441.3MB + Internal Usage:48.3MB) Total Quota Summary:     Total Quota Allocated Available Allocate%     63.6GB 59.6GB 4.0GB 93.6% System Storage Summary:     Total Used Available Use%     78.6GB 3.8GB 74.8GB 4.9 % Reserved space: 15.0GB (19.1% of total space).

-- Even though I have 17.1 GB available for the root ADOM I am unable to assign 12 GB to my Fortigate. Also, the error message seems to be taking the max value incorrectly from the Total Available Quota rather than the ADOM Quota.

-- After few testing I found out that the max I can allocate to Fortigate is 9142 MB.

FAZVM64 # exe log device disk-quota FGT60D4614005220 9142 This will set device FGT60D4614005220 disk quota to 9142(MB). Do you want to continue? (y/n)

--If I increase the ADOM Quota from 25 to 28 GB the max  quota I can allocate changes from 9142 to 11142 MB. However, I cannot find the reason or logic behind this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
