Good day,
The logging disk on our Fortigate 101E has failed. We've received a replacement device via RMA. We do not have HA, so I chose to not transfer the license upon shipping of the replacement.
I've installed the FortiOS version we are currently running and restored the latest configuration. How quick is a license transfer when I'm ready to move to the replacement device? Is there any way to expedite the process? I've contacted Fortinet support and they haven't given me much information other than to say it could be up to 4 hours.
Thanks for any advice/assistance.

It might take a day depending on how busy the CS team is. But if you can open a case prior to when you need to get them transferred, you can ask them when to transfer. I did this recently to transfer FortiTokenMobile licenses to another FGT.

Hello @rg2017 ,
- you can refer to this https://community.fortinet.com/t5/RMA-Service/RMA-Note-Contract-and-Service-Auto-Transfer-Option/ta-...
- Also you can reach out to our Customer Service team to check the status of licenses.
Thank you. I did not choose the auto transfer, which is what the article you referenced is for. I want to transfer the license when I switch all of my cabling to the replacement device. I would like to know how quickly the license transfer to the new device happens.

I'm going to wing it and transfer it next week.
