Transceiver optical power specs

Hi folks,

I'm trying to calculate optical link power budgets, but can anyone please point me in the direction of where the power levels of different SFP, SFP+, QSFP+ & QSFP28's lie? - annoyingly not in the spec sheets. I do know how to interrogate fitted transceivers from the CLI, but this is prior design work.

Hello Kush,

The Tech Note is fine for as-fitted, but this is for pre-fit design calcs.

That spec sheet does not have the data I'm after, unfortunately - I need max/min Tx and Rx light levels in dBm so I can work out link budgets if/and attenuators are needed.
