I have FG61F, FSWicthes, and 4 FAAP's in the office when i move in the office to another location i will still be connected to the original AP which the signal in the new spot will become very low and it will take 4-5 mints to switch my connection to the closest FAP
Can i control the switch time ? is there is parameter for that ?
Thanks

This tech tip explains how it works.

The idea is that the roaming is decided by the client, not by the AP.
So I guess there should be a specific tuning procedure for each OS or for each WiFi adapter driver.
This is partially correct but also the APs can affect the end host behavior, station signal strength is checked and the AP this is far away is forced to go silent. There are a few techniques shown here like 'Ignoring weak or distant clients', 'Configuring data rates (removing low speeds)', disable old protocols (a/b/g), frequency-handoff to 5GHz etc.
