Hi all
I want to add gbic on my 100D (6.0.5), do I have to buy fortinet one or I can use some from other vendor like HPE, Easyoptics... ?
Thanks

It all depends but most cisco SFP/SFP+ will work. Fortinet is very acceptable for using 3rd vpns
PCNSE
NSE
StrongSwan
ok thanks, I will try with HPE J4859C

I'd be interested to hear if it works. I couldn't even get a FortiGate one working on a FortiSwitch.
First test with my spare 100D and 2 x J4859C link together (2 meters optical patch): port 15 & 16 are seen as Fiber port so it seams ok.
next week, I will try on SM fiber (1 km)

It's working fine for HA :
2 FGT100D with a J4859C in each, directly connect over 1.2km singlemode fiber.
I set a higher priority for that link so there's no impact on my network traffic

We upgraded a couple switches to 6.2.0 and it appears we are having problems now with our 3rd party GBICs
