The recommended version of FG-401F

Hi, Team!
Do you have any suggestions on the recommended version of FG-401F
I noticed that the firmware marked as mature has been updated to 7.2.9, while the recommended version in Recommended Release for FortiOS is 7.2.5.
Considering that Recommended Release for FortiOS has not been updated for 5 months, I am hesitant about which version to use. (According to the update frequency, Recommended Release for FortiOS should have been updated.)

For recommended release you can follow this link: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Recommended-Release-for-FortiOS/ta-p/22717... however this document needs to be updated, you can safely move to 7.2.9. Before upgrading the unit, make sure you go through the release notes of 7.2.9

I have a few questions.
First, are the newer versions in the mature branches more stable, or is there a situation where the older versions are more "mature" than the newer versions?
Second, the environment I use is two unconfigured FG-401F using FGSP mode, and then configure them after upgrading, so I only need to consider the best mature version. In this case, is 7.2.9 the best stable choice?
Finally, is there any update plan for the Recommended Release for FortiOS document in the near future? (Suggestion: If Fortinet can mark each branch with an independent recommended version in the firmware download interface like Cisco, I think this is better than documents that are updated irregularly)

FortiOS 7.2.8 and 7.2.9 are stable versions. ForitOS 7.2.9 includes additional fixes. Also, FGSP has no relation with the firmware version so it should work fine regardless of the firmware version. So, the choice of firmware version is yours. We will update the recommended release document in the future.

Note: FortiOS 7.2.10 will be released within the next two weeks
