TFTP command confirmation

Hi Please let me know the exact command to be used to take the full configuration backup via TFTP for Fortigate 3950B version-v5.0,build0271,140124 (GA Patch 6)() device since the command (execute backup full-config tftp <filename> <DestinationIP>) currently used by us for this model is giving the incomplete configuration file. satya

That should be the correct command. What I would do 1st is to execute a tftp push to the same server and ensure you have write access on the server. if that works, than I would look at your tftp-server block size support. Also make sure you have nothing ACL specific that blocking tftp on the server or path to the server ( router acl, iptables, some inside firewall, etc.....)

Thanks for quick response. I could transfer the file to tftp server. but file contains incomplete configuration. where can I find this file on the device. Which command should I use to see this file. So that I can check the file size on the device.

Not sure of what you mean, but have conduct a show full configuration to a usb or local host and then compare that with a the tftp backup? if the transfer was successful with tftp, than i expect the full configuration should have been sent fwiw: You can use a windows or unix diff utility for comparison
