Start SSL VPN from command line or code

Hello, I have configured an SSL VPN connection with FortClient 4.3.3.445 with certificate. The connection works fine when I start it manually. My question is: Is is possible to start this connection with a command line or from a script/program? I read about FortiSSLVPNclient.exe and its command line paramters, but whatever I tried, this tool seems to crash. I first appears in the Windows status area, hangs there for a few seconds and then disappears.
