Good evening everyone,
Working on migrating a customer from a SonicWall to a FortiGate 101F. They have this Transparent Mode L3 Splice currently on their SonicWall X2 interface. I am struggling to figure out how to configure this on the FortiGate. Current setup on the SonicWall is
X1 - WAN zone - Public IP with Subnet Mask and Gateway IP
X2 DMZ zone - The same public IP and Subnet Mask as X1 WAN
A lot of their servers have public IPs on them. In order to do this we got a new block of IPs from their ISP to separate the DMZ and WAN.
Just need to know if anyone else has run in this or if I am asking for trouble here?
They have 3 DNATs is all.

Hi BTH,
Here is a link that might help you with the transparent mode on Fortigate.
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.0.0/handbook/354989/nat-mode-and-transparent-mode
The document is from version 6.0.0 but the concept did not change since then.
On this link you can check the features available on both modes, transparent and NAT mode.

In case you need specific help with the migration I suggest you to contact Fortinet Professional Services.

Hi @BackerTheHacker,
In addition, we do offer FortiConverter service which help migrate configuration from old device or different vendor to FortiGate. Please refer to this document for more detail "https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticonverter-service/23.1.0/online-help/550685/about-forticonve...

I would say create a software or hardware switch and place 2ports that will replace X1 and X2 on sonicwall..
