So the Security Fabric Agent is mandatory when installing FortiClient 5.6? Seriously?
How can you force this on customers that likely already have some sort of AV installed?
Are you guys incapable of spitting out a quick lightweight VPN client that doesn't force the Compliance check or Security Fabric junk on customers?

It's not AV. That's still optional.

It's still bloat that people really don't want.

You are not forced to use any software which comes for free.
The telemetry feature is used for managing and compliance checks which again you do not have to use on the FGT. I doubt it will burden the host system much. Privacy isn't an issue here neither.

You can create a custom installer that thins it out further to just be telemetry without the extras that make up the fabric agent. Don't enable telemetry on the FortiGate and it's the same as pre-5.6.
