Skype_Communication signature not appear

The signature does not appear on my applicantion control signatures., I have a 1000C fortigate, I'm having trouble making audio or video call without Skype.

I believe this signature will solve this problem.

Does the device have an active subscription?

Also, when you try to add signatures to a application sensor and you start typing skype does it show any possible selections?

Also make sure to enable "Download Extended IPS signatures" at the FortiGuard update configuration.

Hello Brunoncaldas,

Starting from FortiOS 5.2 and above, we have merged the Skype_Communication signature into Skype. There's only one signature for Skype now. If you have upgraded your IPS Definition to the latest version now and calls are still not working properly, can you let me know? If you are using FortiOS 5.4 and IPS Engine 3.299, you need to set "Skype" to Allow/Monitor explicitly instead of the category "Collaboration". There was a bug with the engine that is explained here:
