Set override enable command

Dear all,

I want to know few things related to set override enable command

1. Does set override enable command work if priority is configured on both HA device.

2. In which case should we enable set override enable.

3. set override enable commands works just like HRSP & VRRP.

Regards,

Umesh

Hi,

please refer to the below article for more information about the "override" option in HA.

Good Day, Umesh

1. Does set override enable command work if priority is configured on both HA device.
Yes, it works if the priority is set on both HA nodes.

2. In which case should we enable set override enable.
Set its device priority higher than other cluster units and enable override if you want to ensure that the same cluster unit always functions as the primary unit
and are less concerned about frequent cluster negotiation.

3. set override enable commands works just like HRSP & VRRP.
HA Override is not exactly the same as HSRP/VRRP, however the functionality is similar to VRRP active failover but they are distinct.
