Security Fabric / mandatory Faz?

Hi Team,

I read the documentation for Security Fabric and i can see the minimum requirement : 2 fortigate and 1 FAZ.

The FAZ is mandatory or it's just better for the aggregate log?

It is mandatory as there has to be a consolidated logging/events location for the security fabric containing those devices to report to. They cannot log to each other, so they must log to the FAZ
