When an SSL-VPN gets disconnected without the user intentionally pressing the Disconnect button, shutting down the PC or such, FortiAnalyzer logs the reason for the SSL tunnel shutdown either as "Lost the connection" or as "User requested termination of service". The first reason is expected, the second isn't. What causes such a disconnect to be logged with reason "User requested termination of service"? Kind regards, Herta
Hello Herta,
We hope that you got the clarification on this by other means or so by this time. Please let us know.
Sorry that there were no responses on this thread so far.
To clarify on the Log Message "User requested termination of service" - This usually be seen when there is an issue on the Client side. The reason could be anything for instance, ISP issue.
Regards.

hi @kgeorge ,
I’ve tried the suggested steps and received the following notification:
Action: tunnel-down
Reason: User requested termination of service
Here’s the condition I’m experiencing:
When using an iPhone for tethering with ISP A, the issue consistently occurs.
However, if I use ISP A with an Android device, everything works fine.
Similarly, if I use the iPhone with ISP B, the issue does not occur either.
Could you help identify what might be causing this behavior?
