SSL VPN " Connecting...(98)"

Howdy, Has anyone ever seen the SSL vpn client sometimes not fully connect. I have one user that is stating that sometimes (50% according to the user) the client doesn' t connect with a status of: Connecting...(98). The FGT is running 4.3.12 and whichever vpn version that is pulled directly from web interface. The user is running AVG 2013 and Windows 8 if it matters. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have: disabled AVG, disabled Windows defender, verified no other AV\Security programs, unbound ipv6 on the adapters, ran SFC, uninstall the ssl vpn client, installed the ssl vpn client from 6.0.3, and rebooted all home network equipment. Any ideas?

Try my unit v4.2.15: 173.77.229.141:10443 user: test pass: test You should be able to PING 192.168.39.254 If that works, you have a configuration issue on your FGT.

This same issue occured to me when I upgraded the firmware of a FortiGate from 4MR2 to 4MR3 a while ago what I did was to access from the remote PC to https://FGPublicIP:10443 and in the tunnel mode widget it had again the link to download and install the right FortiClient SSL version.

Good point. Check the version you' re using against the version of the firewall. https://forum.fortinet.com/FindPost/97349

Thanks all. We tried your VPN connection and it had the same issue. :( It has the latest build of ssl vpn, now, and the FGT is running 4.3.14. It was on 4.3.12 when it was placed into production. I guess I have to keep digging.

If the remote user access through the VPN portal can connect the tunnel from there? or maybe does the tunnel mode widget still asks for the installation of the plugin?
