SNMP

I' m using MRTG to graph processor and memory usage on an FG3600 but I' d like to also graph Sessions, Network Utilization, Viruses & intrusions. Basically everything on the Monitor tab. Has anyone done this? -Mike

Network utilization can be graphed just doing a basic cfgmaker. cfgmaker --output=myconf.cfg community@host Don' t know about the other items you mentioned. Would you be willing to share your mrtg configuration that graphs CPU & Memory utilization? Having trouble here.

These are the OIDs that we are using with mrtg (Fortigate-1000 cluster): Memory: .1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.1.1.6.4.0 Connections: .1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.1.1.6.6.0 CPU: .1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.1.1.6.1.0 External interface In & Out bytes: .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2 If you have a cluster these OIDs only provides the information for the " main" box. I do not know if you can get virus and intrusions information by snmp... Regards,

I' d be interested to see a mrtg config for cpu usage, memory, connections or whatever else people are graphing. I peeked at the MIB' s file that we can download from the support ftp. Looks like we should be able to graph AV as well as other stuff.

gsanfe: Yes that does. I can see where my mistakes were and hopefully correct them. On the mrtg website they have a link to a site that has example configs for many different devices but no fortigate yet. One of our configs would be a nice addition probably, that is when I get mine working as well. http://www.somix.com/support/mrtg_repository.php

I would be interested in that information as well. If I come across the info I will be sure to post it. I will have access to a fortigate engineer this week, and will pick his brain some at that time.
