Routing by Domain Name or Dynamic FQDN
Hi Advisor,
If this appears to be duplicated, apologize for the inconvence, please direct me to the post. Thanks in advanced.
We have Core Switch HP 10508 has three Internet links:
* Link 1 : General Link (MetroEthernet ~30 mbps) * Link 2 : Least Use Link (Internet ~100 mbps, will be increasing to 500 mbps) * Link 3 : MPLS ~15 mbps * Link 4 : Other purpose line (Internet ~10 mbps)
Currently, all default Internet Traffic in-bound and out-bound uses Link 1, Link 1 supports in-bound traffic for Web services; Voice Traffic uses Link 2; other purpose traffic uses Link 3, is for MPLS.
With reference to Microsoft’s Office 365 URLs and IP address ranges (https://support.office.co...cb-abb1-355ea5aa88a2), there are about 25 domains, and more than 500 lines of IPv4 Addresses. If the IP Addresses are to enter into the Core Switch, it will be error prone, the configuration file will be very big, and the CPU processing in the Core Switch will be (very) high.
Our intention is to route office365 traffic to Link 2: use Policy routing based on domain names (e.g. *.office.com, *.azure.com).
Please advise can the configuration can be done, if so, which is the recommended model to be purchase.
Thank you. Best Regards.
