Dear all,

Something strange had happened to us. The firmware of our unit (FG-600D) is 6.2.5

I can successfully update all of my fortiguard signatures except Application Control via CLI and a TFTP Server.

I tried to update Application Control signatures several times but I got an error which has been attached to this post.

The error is Get other objects from TFTP server ok. Command Fail. Return Code -85.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi, exactly same error on Fortigate 50B while updating AV.

Work around maybe is to keep on retry or use ftp instead.

Did not work out. Is there something wrong in my command? Wrong package? Can I find CLI Error Codes for this old model v4.0,build0694,161108 (MR3 Patch 19)?

Can enable the following CLI command and check if the error still happens:

FGVM32 # diagnose autoupdate downgrade enable
Update downgrade enabled

Same error.

FGVM32 # diagnose debug application update -1
Debug messages will be on for unlimited time.

FGVM32 # diagnose debug enable

Then execute the update pkg again. Thanks.

I did factory reset.

Something strange... I managed to update with GUI. I used package vsigupdate-OS4.2.3_89.791.ETDB.Low.pkg. First it updates AV definitions and AV engines shows version like "0".
Second try same package and it update AV engine. Amazing...

What is the difference between these vsigupdate-OS4.0.0_89.791.ETDB.Low.pkg vs. vsigupdate-OS4.2.3_89.791.ETDB.Low.pkg in Fortigate 50B v4.0,build0694,161108 (MR3 Patch 19)?
