Restore

Hi!

I recently restored the FortiGate to a previous revision in april for some testing. When I afterwards restored the FortiGate back to the most recent revision some objects that was deleted after the april-revision came back? Is this a bug?

hi, after updgrade/downgrade you can use this command in order to check if some items fail to upgrade

diagnose debug config-error-log read

2 FGT 100D  + FTK200

3 FGT 60E  FAZ VM  some FAP 210B/221C/223C/321C/421E

It wasnt when I upgraded or downgraded the firmware, it was when I was working with savingpoints.

Likely some address and/or name conflicts. I'm not sure now but FG used to recognize object name differences only by first 14-15 letters.

I suggest putting both before/after configs through a text compare tool to see what has changed.
