Hi.
Is it possible to restore a config from a Fortigate 30e to a FortiWiFi-30e, and vice versa without the need to for edits in the CLI?
While still maintaining all settings and functionality (apart from the WiFi part obviously).
Thanks in advance.

It shouldn't be that much of a problem assuming both fgts are on the same firmware, though you are right about the wifi info - but I I think that will only relate to the built-in wifi stuff. And you will likely need to replace the header line before loading the fgt from one to the other. (e.g. fgt vs wifi.)
After loading the cfg on a fgt, perform from the CLI the following commands to see what has changed/messed up after that first boot: diagnose debug config-error-log read
NSE4/FMG-VM64/FortiAnalyzer-VM/6.0 (FWF30E/FW92D/FGT200D/FGT101E/FGT81E)/ FAP220B/221C
Thanks for your reply Dave.
I will give it a try when I get the unit next week and post back with errors.
Cheers.
