Good day. Help pleas to restore old FortiMail 100. We get it as device with failed HDD (no HDD). It booted up with 3.0 software version. I download and tied to install 4.0MR3 version via web interface, and system writes something like ”file very big for download”. At Fortinet.com documentation I realize about that trouble and there was advice as install it via CLI console. I do that, and device failed to start. I reject starting procedure from Fortimail BIOS, format boot device and install new software at full reformatted device. It does not helped too – the errors appear. Also, other type errors appear at try to install old 3.0 software too. Meant any software can’t be installed. AT Fortimail 4.0 Exist something “Maintenance mode”. May be need to to something via that mode? Or Fortimail strongly need HDD for boot? Other way in original configuration it work without HDD even. I confused. Have any advice?

You will need a HDD to boot (and certainly to function).
What are you trying to achieve here? 3.0 is 11 years old, 4.0 is 9 years old and both are long out of support.

Yes, i understand EOS/EOL.
It is just for demo test zone as e-mail collector. Just wonder why it does not start. Ok, will try to add HDD. Is there strongly 250Gb or i can place less?
