Report by Department

Hi there

As we understand it the FG sends its logs to FAZ and from that you can generate a report.

We want to generate department specific reports based on web usage by users in that dept and send it to the head of the dept.

Anyone know how to do this ?

thanks

greg

Hi Greg,

Please follow below steps:

1. Configure your mail  server in System Setting->Advanced->Mail Server

2. Go to Report->Advanced->Output Profile, add an output profile with email recipients

3. Go to Report -> Configuration -> Enable Notification, select your output profile and apply

4. Clone several predefined Web Usage report according to the number of your department. Go to Report->Advanced Settings->Add Filter, add users in department to user filter and apply.

Thanks huai Hmmm I was hoping the user could do this in active directory (groups) Trouble is as they add /remove users to ad they have to do this also. Is this the only way ? Also what's the best way to omit servers from usage reports? Thanks Greg

Hi Greg, You can add a LDAP server in System Settings->Admin->Remote Auth Server, then go to Report->Advanced Settings, enable LDAP Query and add "Group" filter.
