When i inserting HTML into the template
The recipient receives the plain text, i.e.
!DOCTYPE html><html><div><strong>Ihr ASWO WLAN Zugang</strong></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div> <p>Lieber Gast, wir freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch bei uns in Eime!</p> </div><div></div><div>Dami
The document is not converted to html by the recipient. The offered Format is
Message Format: text/html
Also the question, is it possible to change the description of the template also?
Is there a solution to this?
Templates are not supported by the Forti Support.
Thank you

Can you try the following?
config system replacemsg auth auth-guest-email-page
set format html
Hi,
thank you for your reply.
Config edited: see below....
Unfortunately not a satisfactory result; is there possibly another idea?
edit "default"
set comment "Default replacement message group."
config auth
edit "auth-guest-email-page"
set buffer "<!doctype html><html>.......</html>"
set header http
set format html
next
end
next
end
I do very much wished this worked. The template says text/html however still encoded as plain text.
Wanted to revisit this topic. I was supposed to develop a nice looking html-template for a customer and now I have to realize that it is only sent as plain text. Is there a solution?
Found this in FML 7.4.2 fixed issues:
995799 | Incorrect replacement message information for email sent in HTML or Rich Text Format. |
Unfortunately the description is brief and we can't know more details.
In case anyone upgrades to 7.4.2 please keep us informed if the mentioned issue has been fixed.
Hello @skrueger1,
Guest User Email Template doesn't support HTML format on FortiGate as of now. It is possible to submit a New Feature Request but it is not guaranteed to be approved.
