Remote Administration Access with 5.X.X Versions of Firmware

It appears since moving to 5.X.X versions of firmware, that we can no longer remotely access a firewall for administrative access over the main LAN interface.  I am having this problem with a Fortigate 90D with Firmware version 5.2.3 Build 670.  It seems like both HTTPS and SSH will not fully function - HTTPS will not let show me anything even though it starts to connect and with SSH I get the login prompt and can enter a password and get the # prompt but as soon as I try and do any command CLI command including any SHOW command, the SSH session just hangs.  The firewall is pingable and everything works but we cannot access the admin sessions.

Has anybody had similar issues?
