Record/Log of SSL VPN user logins/logouts

Forgive me. I can' t find any record of SSL VPN user logins- date/user/IP e.g. Would also be nice to see logouts. Must be in Log&Report ->Report access-> VPN usage, but i can' t figure out how to use this thing. v4 MR3 patch6 Thanks. John

I believe this information is of the archival variety, and isn' t kept on the unit. You need to have the records written to a Fortianalyzer or another syslog type device to keep that background information. What' s on the unit gets rolled off as the log buffer fills, so you only see the latest x amount of information.

Bob, I thank you for your reply. It looks to me like the " log event" records exceptions --- user unsuccessful login, etc. Not sure I understand this... Looking at " column settings" in " log event" I don' t see how to even record a user login. So If I configure a syslog device, will it even show up?? The only place I see user logins is in the ssl vpn monitor - and I will only see them WHEN they are logged in. Thanks again. John
