RMA procedure to replace faulty Fortigate VM from Fortimanager 7.4.8

Hi Team,

Can some one give a knowledge base/ article which details the step-by-step procedure on how to replace a fortigate firewall running V7.4.8 in Fortimanager GUI.

In my setup Fortigate VM's are running - SD WAN rules, please give me detailed step-by-step procedure on how to replace (RMA) the faulty Fortigate Virtual machine with a new Virtual machine from Fortimanager 7.4.8 GUI.

Also please detail the procedure to transfer the license from faulty machine to new virtual machine

Dear prabhueee35,

I would like to recommend you to open a TAC ticket first to verify and get the clarence of the RMA from technical team. Later on it will be transferred to the RMA team when it will be verified that the unit is qualified for the RMA.

So, you can create the ticket with Serial Number of the unit and share your observation in the ticket note.

Never heard before about RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) for virtual machines.

Unless we are talking about a different RMA.

RMA applies to hardware models where a faulty one is replaced. 

I believe you are referring to redeploying a VM
