We are running Forticlient 6.0.8 on Windows 10 1903 over vpn
Some users reporting that when on Jabber video calls the video freezes at 30 minute intervals from when they started the vpn connection. Similary users connect via RDP over the vpn report similar issues with the RDP session disconnecting for a few seconds then reconnecting again which also happens around 30 minute intervals.
There is a Fortinet KB describing issues with RDP with instructions to disable UDP over RDP (https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD40006), however this makes no difference.
Has anyone experienced similar issue or know a resolution for this?
Have done some further investigation on this.
Users who report issues with Jabber tend to be using the IPsec vpn connection.
I've noticed that the key lifetime setting for the connection is set at 1800s (30 mins), despite the GUI config showing as 43200 and the EMS server setting for clients also set to 43200.
I have now set the key lifetime to the correct value.
Note, the value may only be visible by doing sh full-configuration
Will be testing with users who reported the problem to see if any improvement.
