Customer is using a FortiGate 60D, firmware version 5.2.5. They connect using SSL VPN and RDP. They want to log in using SSL VPN from a remote PC and print to that a printer connected via the remote PC. Currently they can only print to a Local Printer. The Remote Printer shows up as a printer on the Local PC but shows up as off-line. Can this be done? If so how can it be done?

Just set the printer up on the remote PC using its IP address. With the SSL VPN open, you should be able to PING and print to that printer if the policies allow.

Thank you for your help Bob.
So when we log in to the Local PC it looks as though the Remote Printer is off-line. Would we change the IP address of the Remote off-line Printer to an address on the VPN subnet? How would we determine what this address would be?
I am having the same problem and I don't see what needs to be done.
I can ping to my printer's IP from home
