Packet Analyzer - Port Mirroring vs Switch Trunk Port ?

Hi All,  First post here on the forum so apologizes in advance if I mess this up.

I have a packet inspection/analyzer appliance and I need to monitor all traffic on our network.

I use  All FortiGate firewalls and FortiSwitches.

What is the best method to allow the packet analyzer full access to all traffic ?

Configure the FortiGate policies to send traffic to a Mirror Port ?

OR

Configure a Trunk Port with all vlan access on one of our main FortiSwitches?
