PPPoE MTU Problem

Hi all, I am using FortiGate 50A with 2.50 MR9. This FortiGate is using PPPoE connection. I found that MTU didn' t change even I set to override default MTU value. If ISP use MTU value 1492 and I set to use 1400, the result MTU is still 1492 after connected. So, how can I enforce FortiGate to use my own MTU setting? Thank you Martin

Hi, sometimes, this is only a GUI-problem. Did you try setting it through CLI yet? If not, quickly ask Fortinet support if it' s solved in MR10, if not, they might be able to do this before it' s released (in 2 weeks). Regards, Willem

Hi, It is not a GUI problem. I have also tried it thorugh CLI but the behaviour is the same. I found that FortiGate only request default MTU value (i.e. 1492) to the ISP and does not pass user' s setting. Then it set the value returned from ISP. Martin
