Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this:
Hi,
I'm new to FortiNet and started at a small company that uses it. It fell into my role as I'm the most technical person on the team, and my predecessor had long left before i started, so no handover.
I'm struggling to know where to start. Any recommendations? Good YouTube series etc?
I've been experimenting with adding new devices/servers to test existing firewall and port rules, but i can't get anything to communicate off its local subnet so i didn't get very far.
Thanks
Hello,
I assume that there is a FortiGate in your environment. You may consider to check the course "FCP - FortiGate Administrator". Please find more details by following the link below:

Hello Avatar,
good to hear you try to learn! I recommend trying understanding what the FortiGate is doing in your network. Security profiles, routing, VPN, etc. Focus on these topics maybe first as you'll have a more direct access to those. Setup videos will probably help already understanding some of the basic concepts as to answer "where do I click?"
