New Firewall for Branch Repeater

Dear all, Before, we had planned to do a POC of Branch Repeater in our office but fail. We found that it may due to the Intrusion Prevention Service of our current fireall (Sonicwall TZ170). As the firewall is quite old, we plan to buy a new one. As our first POC on Branch Repeater is fail, we are very concern on the compatibility of the firewall and branch repeater. 1) Is the firewall need by-pass all rules of Intrusion Prevention Service on the Branch Repeater? 2) Will such action make the Branch Repeater under attack risk? 3) Is there any firewall which can give protection to the Branch Repeater and the Branch Repeater is workable? Thx alot for your advise. Best Regards, Kan

hmm.. or I should change the question. Branch Repeater need TCP Option 24-31 pass through. - Is Fortigate can be set that the ip of Branch Repeater can set TCP Option 24-31 pass through? - Will such setting result the ip of Branch Repeater easily under intrusion attack?

It' s a bit late, nevertheless what is the Branch Repeater doing in your network?
