Has anyone managed to get a working configuration for Chromecasts in a corporate environment.
I have my primary SSID using 802.1x where all the named users connect.
Now they want Chromecasts for the boardroom TV, but Chromecast do not support 802.1x, so I created a 2nd SSID using WPA2-Personal.
I followed this technical note: http://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD40040 with some success.
But, the experience is not stable. Chromecasts are sometimes not discoverable at random times. Discoverable by one device, but not another at the same time.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Network config is 2 FAP-320C connected to a FG-50e acting as the wireless controller.
Thanks;
Ryan
I'm trying to figure this out as well, and I found that enabling SNAT on the policy from our clients to the chromecast(s) helps the chromecasts to be found more consistently. (so far, at least)
As they suggest here: http://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD39305
("set snat enable" for the client to chromecast policy in CLI)
