Network Error. Request Timed out

just today, when i was trying to connect to my work VPN tunnel, this app cames with this error.

Yesterday was fine, today early in the morning, out of the sudden... did not work anymore

I'm running this in a Mac system, both M1 and Notebook intel, and they got same error. 

Anyone there with same issue ?

As both IP and Tunnel dns got pinged right trough Terminal with average 5ms

asked workmates about this issue, they have Windows OS, and works fine so far.

Support team of my company says there is normal as usual; last time when my used logged in was 16 hours ago ( yesterday at 18hrs or so )

in M1 Mac i erased and reinstall Forticlient 7.0, but in laptop i didn't any change... both still timing out

Can you connect to the VPN Service using netcat?

I kept trying a few times more ,and i got it , 

port 10443 [tcp ] succeeded!

however,   Forticlient still doesnt work

If it's intermittently responding then there is something wrong on the FortiGate side or something wrong on your side.

It's strange behaviour. Do you have the ability to test from a different machine? And possibly on a different network/ISP?

i did try using another device, OSX too, with similar behaviour. Even with internet share trough iphone/4G (with another mobile internet ISP) , with same outcome...

Sounds like something on the FortiGate side. Do continous pings show any packet drops to the VPN IP address?

You may want to log a ticket with your IT department for them to look into this. Mention the intermittent connectivity on port 10443 from multiple locations/endpoints/ISPs.

I actually did the ping, both tunnel and IP and that went very normal, 5ms average response. 

about submitting a ticket, I did it in the first place but they don’t know what could be happening about it ... they told me they got no connection last 24 hours from my user. But nothing else, maybe they don’t have any clue...

Hi, I've got the same issue. Did you manage to find a solution ?

I've fixed it by using the ip address instead of the host name. It seems I have a dns issue.
